    Suround Sound Problems

I Don't really know if this is the right place to put this but here goes.

I have an m-audio delta 1010lt and a very homemade speaker system consisting of a few i made and 4 leak 3000 series beasts. I was previously running them through one amp but I've recently managed to get hold of an amp for each pair. According to the m-audio website my card is capable of 7.1 but I haven't managed to sort it out. Ideally i need a piece of software that can split the signal and allow me to assign each channel to a different output. I know there is probably a hardware solution but I prefer to have everything running on my computer (the last thing i need is more clutter, i dunno if your familiar with the 3000 series but they're about shoulder height on me).

    Thanks.

BUMP - I would also be interested in this, it would mean i could use my creative soundcard with creative speakers instead of realtek 6 channel on board.

ps. i did a quick search and i probably didn't read the name right for the speakers but is there any chance of a link with pics ?

soz. i couldn't find them either and i dont have a digi camera at the mo. i no there must be a simple software based solution. if not it shouldn't be 2 hard to make one should it? i'll have a go. all u would need 2 do is edit another mixer program and mix around the inputs. anyway, let me know if u come up with anything.

Can't you just get some 3.5mm jack to phono cable, then u can mix-and-match the channels you want? (then convert back to 3.5mm if the amp need that)

Make sure you buy gold-plated cable to reduce signal loss.
