    WMP9 codec problems

Ok, so I try to run a *.wmv and WMP tells me that I don't have the codec...went to the MS site and got the codec...WMP still says no codec.

I remember I had this issue before and I found a fix for it on the web...but I can't find it again now that I've re-installed my PC. If anybody knows what the answer is please tell me.
The code I'm getting is 'C00D10D1' if that's any more help for anybody.

    Cheers.

try installing this ac3 filter that might work

also you could upgrade to wmp11 (its a bit slow though nicer gui i like the new album views)

also ace mega codecs pack has just about every codec there is but for some reason it messes up windows movie maker.

Yeah, I got 11, still no joy, I'll try the codec packs you sujested. It's really wierd, fresh install of Windows and it can't play any videos, just pc maxes out and the taskmanager (when it loads) says that nothing is maxing it out, whilst the CPU usage says 100%

Also I don't care if I kill WMM I just want to be able to watch my videos again
