The stock heatpipe cooler is pretty good if you replace the useless stick on thermal pad with arctic silver.

The stock coolers use OK TIM paste not a heatpad. But AS5 will be better - also it depends on what speed grade you go for weather u get the heatpipe cooler or not (well it was so for 939).

I would go for the Freezer pro - Its one of the best and cheap too!!

I've just put my freezer 64 pro on my AM2 x2 4600+ as it came with a simple (non heatpipe) cooler. Mine fitted fine and the temps are down from 55 to 42 with both cores at 100% prime 95.

The stock cooler should be fine if only wanting a mild overclock.
