Hi guys,
Just bought a 15,000 rpm Fujitsu 80 pin SCSI hard drive, a Tekram SCSI controller, Foxconn lead with active terminator, and 68-80 pin adapter. Plugged it all together, and my PC posts, then goes to the SCSI card to look for a boot device. When it gets to this point, the LED on the drive starts flashing but nothing happens, until about 5 mins later it'll pickup the drive and load Windows from my IDE drive. In Windows, the drive appears under the device manager, but doesn't appear in My Comptuer or under Computer Management.
When the PC tries to boot from a SCSI device, I can press F2 to go into the SCSI controller options. Here the drive is picked up straight away, but some of the parameters are missing in the information page, such as cyclinders and capacity which is a bit odd. When I click "Verify Drive" or "Low-Level Format" I just get an error message saying "Device not ready!!". The controller ID is 7 btw, and the drive ID is 0.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
