iirc, corsair value uses TCCD chips, and OCZ use BH-5's.

If ur gonna be overclocking, i'd go for the BH-5's

No, you are completely wrong. TCCD and BH5 are the cream of the crop when it comes to ram. Neither manufacturer uses them in their value kits. Occasionally you may be lucky when buying Corsair and get a kit that uses samsung UCCC ic's, with that in mind I'd be tempted by the corsair.

If you did ever decide to buy some BH5, you'd need a DFI motherboard and a shed load of vdimm in tandem with active ram cooling in order to get the most out of it, it clocks with volts and is capable of very tight timings. TCCD on the other hand just clocks like mad, without the need for crazy voltages and is ideal if you're intent on running 1:1 with your overclock.

Buy the kit with the best timings ie 3-3-3-8 vs 2.5-3-3-7 go for the latter. Both manufacturers produce a very high quality product.

IMO unless you are overclocking, a matched pair of value is fantastic for gaming or whatever you need the ram for. They both come with lifetime warrantys and the OCZ can only squeeze 1 or 2 frames extra at stock.

DDR2, I'd go for the gskill HZ 2gb kit, the June batch uses Micron D9 ic's and clock very well. Most hz kits will easily go to 1ghz with a voltage bump

Absolutely agree. Even when overclocking there isn't much impact, as long as you are using a CPU with onboard controller, as the memory divider doesn't actually affect performance.
