speaker problem
okay i recently bought Creative Inspire T3030 speakers from the store for my computer. Now I kow the speakers work because I've plugged them into my mp3 player and they work fine.
my motherboard comes with an onboard audio system and it has 6 little "outlets"...each one a different color made for surround sound but the thing is my speakers aren't surround sound. The setup is: the speaker are connected to the subwoofer and he subwoofer is connected to the pc. The wire from the subwoofer to the pc is only one plug and idk wat hole to put it in. So I tried putting in in every single one but still no sound!
Can someone plz help me figure this out?
My motherboard is and ECS C19-A SLI
Maybe I have to do something in the BIOS?
thx for reading if you did

Have you got a pair of headphones, assume you have as you have anbd mp3 player. Connect the headphone's to each output, if you still don't get any sound then something on your PC hasn't been setup correctly. From experience it's usually the green connector.
If it is your PC not outputting any sound then assuming drivers have been installed correctly check the sound settings in control panel and make sure the vol isn't muted, happened to me more than once.

Reminds me of something I had to do last month, my wife's friend asked me to buy a soundcard for their PC as the kids used the CBeebies website and wanted sound for some games.
Now they bought their PC over 2 years ago, had speakers hooked up to it which they bought at the time, but the speakers never worked so they just assumed they needed a soundcard (what someone else had told them). I should have asked them at this point what is is they thought their speakers were connected too already :).
So I checked in the BIOS, AC'97 was enabled, checked in Device Manager and no sound driver was installed. Arrived like this from an online retailer.
Just thought it was funny how they have had a pair of speaker connected up to their PC for years and not ever got around to fixing the sound. The speakers adaptor was even plugged into the mains :)
