Media Test error

Lo all, trying to sort my flat mates pc out.
Hasnt worked for a while so didnt bother fixing it, but now im gonna try

specs: 3200 Newcaste
mobo = MSi K8T Neo
gfx= 9600XT
cd rom drive

Basically on boot im getting it to read HD, but the next screen it says something like media test failed, exiting PXE rom. Then it goes to Boot safe mode, last known configuration, boot normally.
All of these jsut go bk to booting up again. I can get in bios

Any ideas lads, it would be really great

pixie is network booting, is the hard drive set as 1st boot priority in the BIOS?

erm im not sure but under cmos features it said master hardrive not installed :s. Thing is ive tried 2 hardrives, the one in there and the sata i just took out my rig.

take out the sata one, and make sure that the ide one has the master jumper on it, then try to boot

yeh there is one on the bottom left pin, covering one pin. any other ideas mate

I click last know good config and the monitor goes of and starts again lol...

Don't worry about the "media test failed" bit, I'm pretty sure thats to do with pixie network boot as its just saying the network cable is disconnected.
