Radeon X800 vs 6800GT?

I'm currently using a 6800 128MB - would I get a decent performance improvement with one of the above cards?

probably not enough to warrant the money you would need to spend on the upgrade imo.

are you still on agp ?.... the price you pay for high end AGP card a lot of the time its worth going over to pci-e.

cheapest 7800gs AGP on scan is £187

you can get a X1800XT from overclockers for £149 or a 7900gt for £166, which are better cards... shop around you might get them cheaper i just had a quick look.

according to toms (not the most reliable place i know but) 7800gs around the same as 7600gt in most of these tests

price up 7600gt's half the price of a 7800gs thats how much your getting robbed on agp....i would say get an 7900gt/1800xt if you can afford it though, sell your board and put the money save on gfx towards a second hand ultra-d or something ?

I'm a bit reluctant to spend £200+ on an AGP card... if I could get something decent for £100 that would be fine for an 'interim' upgrade.

Tbh, I think I should make the plunge to PCI-e as it seems you get a lot more 'bang-for-yourbucks'.
