    "System" Process!

My processor is running at 100% idol due to a process called system (NOT system idol process). I can barely type this without it crashing and there is a 5 second delay between when I hit a key and when it apears on the screen. Help!
    With love and many thanks,

Okay, I restarted and everything was fine untill a few minuted later when it did it again. I checked for spyware and viruses (full searches) and nothing came up. Could it be a dodgy driver somewhere?

Have a look in MSConfig (Start // Run // type "msconfig") and see if you can find where the process is located, folder names etc might give you a clue.

Okay, looks like the process IS the computer (or at least the drivers for it). If this is the case then I think I know what it is. For a while the drivers for my onboard graphics have been a bit screwy. Theres not much point in trying to fix it as I'm getting my new card in a few days (hopefully).

No, its been doing it for ages. I'm pretty sure a new gfx should sort it.
