HDD setup question
Here's a puzzler for you:
I have 3 drives in my system. All are 200GB. All are Seagate Barracuda's
Only 2 of them are new SATA models (ST3200827AS), the other is a PATA (ST3200822A)
I'm fairly sure my system isn't running anywhere near as fast as it should be, and I suspect it's because when I installed XP, it decided to make the PATA drive the system drive.
How can I check which drive XP has installed itself on?
Am probably being really dumb and missing something obvious, but I can't get my head round this one.
Any ideas? Cheers guys

Right click any of the drives and select properties > hardware > now select a drive (they'll have model numbers) and click properties. Now click volumes and populate. It will will say which drive letter that physical drive is. Just carry on til you find C:\ or whichever windows is installed too.
Not the easiest thing to find, but it's there.

Brilliant, answered my question in a one-er. Thanks a lot.
Looks like C:\ is on a SATA drive after all. Oh well.
