    Password Printer

    Hi folks,

I'm helping out a youth centre and they'd like to password protect their printer so that the little darlings stop ptinting out pics of snoop-goggy-dog every two mins. Is this poss with Windows 2000 Server & XP clients? Or, if not, does anybody know of a handy bit of software they could purchase (gotta be el cheapo though).

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

    N.

how is the printer presented, i.e. direct attached to a PC or a network print server? If on a domain or connected to a controlled PC you can control printing via simple user accounts

ie create a group called "Printer Users" for example
then make sure that the "printer Users" group has access to the printer.

dont apply the deny permission to the everybody group though , just remove the everybody group after you have added printer users in there.
