    Broken Raid

I was using raid fine for a while, but the day after I installed the latest lot of windows update and the core 2 duo patch and what I think is the problem, creative drivers, I startered to get BSODs (almost always on start up with iaStor.sys if it happened, but the error only occured when on the desktop and not in any games or full screen programs). I changed sata cables (as the ones I was using were lose) and took my x-fi out and it seems to have fixed it. I'm wondering if anyones had issues with raid drivers and creative drivers or any of the windows updates had issues before I reinstall. The reason for thinking it was creative drivers is that when it first happened the x-fi removed itself from device manager and the problem went till it was redetected. The hard drives themselves are ok (installed ubuntu on one and using the other with it fine and have checked them using seatools).

I have a very similar problem, i was just about to make a new thread.

just now when i booted, windows startup gave a BSOD and said NDIS.sys tried to write to read-only memory.
google says this is a network card issue, but i don't think so, it's been fine for a week and i havn't changed anything since yesterday.

My RAID array is currently verifying and repairing.

I have not installed the INTEL driver update though (this one?)

I think I'm going to reinstall and do each of the latest updates one at a time to see if any of them cause it, and then try my x-fi last to see if it happens again then.
