    Question Coolermaster Centurion 5 Help

I've just moved my components from the old cas to the centurion 5 case. Everything fits perfectly and Im satisfied with the case, I however am facing problems getting the front panel to work correctly. You can view my specs on the left ("My System"). I have connected the HD Audio connector to the HD_Audio1 Jumper on the ASrock ConRoe 945G-DVI. Im not getting any sound from the front panel tho Where have I gone wrong??? The front panel usbs dont work aswel however when I connect my creative zen micro it charges up (meaning there is power rite), so why isn't it detecting the device????

Please help because this is driving me crazy!

I'm not familiar with your ASRock board but I know that my old Asus AthlonXP board would support either the rear audio or the front audio but not both at once.

To switch the audio to the front panel you had to change a jumper on the motherboard (although this might also be available in BIOS on newer boards - such as yours).

Does the MB manual suggest that both sets of audio sockets will work at the same time?

WRT the front USBs, was there one big connector from the case to the motherboard, or a series of single pin connectors?

Just reading your motherboard manual now...

Have you enabled the front audio panel in BIOS?

On page 22 it says (although this seems to be if you have an AC'97 panel?!?):

"E: Enter BIOS Setup Utility. Enter Advanced Settings, and the select Chipset Configuration. Set the Front Panel Control option from [Auto] to [Enabled]."

Let us know if this helps.

Thank you so much, I had left it on Auto and it wasnt detecting the headfone jack. I changed the setting to [Enabled] and it is now workin properly... the volume is kinda high tho (when the Master Volume is set to MAX) its it possible to reduce the volume for the front panel without changing the master volume?

I still cant get the USBs to work. Yesterday i recieved a warning message saying "Power Surge On Hub Port. One of the USB device has exceeded the power limits..." ????

There's one big connector... could the problem be due to incorrect insertion (i.e. wrong way round)?

Well I can't say for certain but I had problems when the usb connectors were a load of little single-pin connectors, getting them all in the right order was tough.

Glad you got the sound working though, I would assume that you will have to change the volume via Windows or your speaker/headphone setup.

Maybe see if you can ask CoolerMaster re: front USBs...
