    hexus blocking my ip address

i need help i cannot get onto hexus.net i keep getting the message
"the server at www.hexus.net is taking too long to respond"

every other website i try and visit seems to work fine its just hexus
    i cant get on to!

i have done checks for virus's and spyware

so i decided to try a piece of software called hide ip and low and behold i can now get on hexus i really want to get on hexus without this software running as it makes the internet a lot slower (dial up speeds)

so i was wondering if anyone could tell me why my ip address would be blocked by hexus!

    thanks in advance lee

I cant see why your IP address would be blocked. AFAIK, even when people have been banned from the forums IP address are not banned from the main site. Ill raise the issue in the mods room for you though

You sure its not your DNS servers playing up ?

Something to do with Pipex? Looks like some kind of traffic shaping maybe?

It could be down to the fact that pipex are taking over a few of the bulldog lines.

The other night all I could get for a few hours was the BT Wholesale page no matter what URL I typed and then my net sprung back into life.

Pipex use funny DNS servers... First ISP I've ever had where I've had to manually enter a DNS...

Which reminds me, I REALLY need to ring them about billing...

Happen to get charged double last month? I did, and haven't worked out why or done anything about it yet.

No, my 2meg line rental price seems to go up and down like a bunny's bum... and I'm getting charge for phone calls when I have the 2000 minute free package... AND their own system says there's no calls made...
