    Inaccessible Boot Device

    Hi,

I've just rebooted my pc, and whenever it tries to boot now, I get a stop error saying Inaccessible Boot Device, and my harddrive is making funny noises. Has it died, or is there something I can do?

    Thanks

yeah my boot device is the hdd. its making loud noises as if its trying to access data. Will try clearing the cmos now.

The last thing i did with my pc was burn a DVD+R DL, and then my pc froze

Harddrive was borked. Had to go out and buy a 160gb Maxtor SATA one. Finally got windows installed on it.
