    Recovery possibilities on sata drives

My sata drives crashed and as a result had to be formatted and reinstalled with win xp pro.

Is there a good data recovery that can help retrieve some of the files on there?

I have got backups of most data, I am just keen to try and get the rest, (photos mainly and a couple of word docs).

Forgot to mention they were RAID 0 - striped

    Thanks in advance.

Once formatted, it becomes a lot more difficult to recover data.

It can be done, but the success of it will depend on the tool you use, or the data recovery agency you send it to

RAID 0 will of also lowered the chances of data recovery, there are commercial tools out there, lots, often they have evaluation version which show you what they can actually recover, myself i wouldn't hold up much hoep thou
