Problem with Belkin 2 port KVM switch F1DL1

I have two computers A (the main one) and B.

No matter how I connect the leads ie PC1 lead to A and PC2 lead to B, or change the leads around ie. PC1 to B and PC2 to A the switch will ALWAYS default to computer B, no matter how the leads are connected. I can then switch between computers, but I would ideally like to only switch my main computer and switch B on when necessary.

I have also found that I cannot use my Logitech wireless keyboard with this switch. This uses a USB >PS/2 connector.

Any help or advice would be appreciated as this problem occurs on two other machines using the identical switch

KVM switches are not designed to store which computer they're connected to. Most KVM switches runs 7x24 so they won't forget the currently connected computer.

For the USB->PS2 you might lose a few media keys but it should work. Does it work when you connect it directly to the computer? (using PS2)

Keyboard use the purple PS2 and some systems don't like it being plugged into the green one which is for mouse.

    Thanks

I assumed that the switch would default to position 1 but it always moves to the SAME computer on switch on.

Logitech Scroll lock DOES NOT work on the switch. I have to use a different keyboard.

The Logitech adaptor is the USB>PS/2 PURPLE (keyboard) adaptor
