Dell sent me a faulty monitor replacement.

yep, i got my 2407 swopped out due to it having a bad banding issue with gradiants.
they send me another and i was pleased to see the refurb looked perfect.

within an hour of it being in use its power cycling itself on and off (if on the PC or not)

now i know i have to go through the routine monday and get them to send me another for wednesday when i can be around again.

where do i stand with demanding a new monitor being as though mine is less than a year old when i got the swop done.

i dont want another refurb sending after this faulty unit arrived.
im now stuck with this useless monitor for 5 days

any advice please, or anyone thats been there and done that ?

Try wobbleing things around. It could just be a loose wire somewhere. You could also try hitting it with something. I kid you not

tried the 1st, not hitting it as it dont want to bust it :|

i have checked and double checked, i have 2 sets of cables now

its fine now, its not warmed up.. give it a while and it will start crapping out again. then you have to pull the power and let it cool down to get it usable again. i may rig a fan to the back over the weekend, see if i can get it stable while i wait out the 5 days
