    drive error help !

    every time i shut down my pc i get this message >>

    Windows error - Drive not ready
    The driver is not ready for use; its door maybe open. Please check drive A: and make sure that a disk is inserted and that hte drive door is closed.
    <Cancel><Try><Continue>


    how do i stop it ? its driving me insane

    its got to do with the floppy disk drive but what ! ive taken it out and disabled the floppy in the boot sequence

    tried it also with the floppy connected. still same error



    i updated the to the latest bios and have inserted a new dual core opteron if thats any help ?

    please help me

    was it the anti virus or even a virus ?

    i just spent a good 20 mins looking and would love to know the answer

    right it was 0 virus !

    what i had to do was disable it in the bios . i went one step further and removed it from device manager to
