    Upgrading Firmware on WAP11

im now trying to upgrade the firmware for the wireless access point, which is a

    Linksys WAP11

However i either cant find, or cant login to the admin page. The admin page is supposed to be 192.168.1.251 according to the internet... however there is a chance it is setup differently (i didnt set it up) ... i know there have been some conflict issues in the past so it may have been changed

i obviously need to get onto the admin page to update the firmware... any ideas?

also i dont know which version of the WAP11 i have, according to the linksys website there are several, all with different firmwares, i guess the admin page would tell me this too

    thanks!

go to start>run>"cmd" to open a dos window

type ipconfig /all and push enter.
under "default gateway" you should have a number 192.168.*.* with * being 1-255

type this number into ie or ff and put admin/admin as the user/pass.
if this doesn't work, try any combination of blank password, use root/root also until you get in.

from the router page, try & look at the DHCP clients table (or ARP table), and go to one of their IPs
