allowing Firefox net access through my router.

I'm having problems getting access to some sucure sites through FF 2.0 or FF 1.5.0.8

After reading a few threads on the FF forums it seems I am having some firewall issues with firefox. I have allowed FF access through the WinXP firewall, this is the only firewall I have, apart from the one on the router. I still have problems getting on to sites tho.

Are they are ports I can forward for firefox on my router that will allow to me access these sites?

    Cheers

Apologies in advance for not answering your question but

I have firewall on router and am using ZoneAlarm (free) without any problems. I turned the Windows Firewall off straight away.

Any reason why you don't want to try similar setup to mine?
