    Vivo & Avivo

What is VIVO and what is AVIVO? Are they related?

I think that VIVO means video in/video out, and I think AVIVO means something like Advanced Video In/Video Out.

Am I right, or am I confused?

Also does the Sapphire Radeon X1600 HDMI Pro have Vdeo in/Video out capability?

The review is vague on the matter, and when I placed a support ticket with Sapphire - guess what - they simply referred me to the Hexus review.

However, I'm discussing the card itself in Right to Reply, what I really want here is to discuss Vivo/Avivo.

    Thanks

VIVO is video in video out. I'm not sure what AVIVO is but i'm pretty sure it has more to do with image quality related settings and hardware accerlation of HD video etc...in the ATI drivers, similar to Nvidia's "purevideo".

If you need VIVO then make sure you get a card with VIVO aswell as AVIVO.
