    Resource Conflict- laptop

    Hi,
I have a IBM R50e laptop, which until recently was running fine. However, last night I have been getting an error when I turn it on:

    ERROR:
    Resource Conflict- PCI on motherboard
    Bus:02,Device:00,Function:00

I had a look at the BIOS and went into the PCI config, and every INT*PCI is set at IRQ11. I tried restoring the defaults but this seems to indicate that the settings are correct as there was no changes. I havn't gone into the BIOS at all for ages so I don't understand what the problem is.

If you need anymore information or have a few questions then just ask

Can anyone help sort this issue out?

    Cheers,

This happens on a lot of laptops and i believe its to do with the wireless lan.

If you got a wireless card , try removing it and uninstall windows drivers if you can and reinstall again.

If its built in wireless uninstall and reinstall the drivers.

    Hope this helps.

Also please state at what stage do you get this error. Thanks.

    Hi, thanks for your reply.

I'll try that when I get home, but will be getting a USB wifi adaptor anyways since I'll be using that for my conroe rig when I get paid Hopefully make some progress tonight..

I'm fairly sure its a POST error, basicly after I turn it on and the IBM logo appears. After a while, the laptop will have 2 beeps and that message will show up on it's own.
