Firewall! Argh!

im trying to dl a rather large patch for WoW, around 650mb, i can get to roughly 50mb in about 2-3 minutes, but then it comes up with a message saying that my PC is behind a firewall. this greatly slows the DL speed, so its roughly only 1 mb in 10 mins.

any idea on how to turn the firewall off?
