With ME (& 98) you could boot from a DOS disk and delete the password file. Sadly I can no longer remember what it's called...

So it comes up with a logon box when you turn it on. Im not sure if this works with ME but does with XP so you can try.

    Type: administrator for username
Password: leave blank and press enter.

    The report back.

If ME is the same as Win98 then when the password box comes up all you have to do is press Escape and hey presto... It's not a very secure OS...

The password file will end in pwl so if the above doesn't work (or if it does and you want rid of the password) then search for *.pwl through the DOS prompt and then delete.

lol, they sure did go all out on security in 98

Also, couldn't you ask your younger sister what she changed it to? Surely she had to enter the same thing twice?
