Come to think of it isn't there a bios setting like power on after failure maybe that could help, if nothing else it can't hurt to try.

no, if you press F8 on boot up you should see the menu for safe mode etc, in there should be a "stop system restarting on error"

eh? Start>Settings>control panel>system>advanced>startup and recovery>settings> untick the Automatically Restart box.

It's one of the first things I set when building a machine, that way if I get a BSOD I can check the error there and then rather than waiting for it to happen again. I'll be honest though and say I'd never even noticed the entry in that menu before...

Ok I went through all the post again and I noticed you haven't mention your cpu temp. Are you sure it's not overheating? Sudden BSOD after playing game for sometime do sounds like heat problem to me like many other poeple said already. Make sure your CPU heatsink is making good contact with your CPU and check all your fans again if they are turning properly. You said you still cannot boot up after leaving the pc overnight, that is probably because your system file was already damaged when it restarted the day before, therefore jumping to a conclusion that this isn't the heat issue is bit too hasty in my opnion.
