SLI question/advice

Hi,

I currently have an XFX 7800 GTX as my GPU, however I'm unsure whether it is the "Extreme Edition" or "Extreme gamers edition" - I can't see any easyway of finding out given that I no longer have the packaging. I'm considering buying another 7800 GTX (2nd hand I'm guessing approx £100), as I think this would represent the best value upgrade route. (Please advise if you don't think this is the case)

Does it have to be literally an "identical" GPU card, or given that I'd be buying one of the XFX 'overclocked' gfx cards, would this matter?

Doesn't matter afaik - I think SLI downclocks the faster to the same speed, or you could just overclock the slower one to the same.

yeah would be good plan also the two diff cards have different speed so just use software to see your clock speeds and work out which card you have
