How to turn off outgoing email virus scanning in McAfee?

Does anyone have the latest version of McAfee antivirus/ Internet Security?

I know someone who has it and they are still on dial-up. They can receive emails fine but can't send. In the past I've disabled antivirus software from scanning outgoing mail and this has solved the problem.

The only problem is I don't know where to look in the latest version of McAfee as I don't have any computers with it installed on.

Does anyone know?

As I don't know what the latest version is (or the one that you have)...

Right click on "M" icon, select VirusScan>Options.
Click on Advanced button & go to Email Scan tab.
Uncheck the option to "Outbound email Scan" & click on Ok.
Close the VirusScan Options windows by clicking Ok on that.

If not identical to this it should at least be vaguely similar...

Thanks Ultim8um for your response - worked a treat.

The problem with scanning outgoing emails if the user is on a dial-up connection with it set to "hang up after sending and receiving" is that email messages will not send properly. This fixed the problem so thanks again.
