Re: Anybody help me set up my TV Tuner

In Sans discription of the card it says it should have a RF/in connector on the back of the card but for the life of me I can't see one on it.

These are the connections on the back of the card
    1, Loop through.
    2, Satellite TV-in (not RF)
    3, IR
    4, Ext audio in.
    5, Ext audio out.
    6, S-Video in.
    7, Composite in.

Please can you confirm the use of a standard (RF) ariel connector on this card?

    cheers

When it has S in the name it means satellite

So no it's not for an Ariel connection but a satellite connection

So they were wrong to advertise an RF/in in there description then?

Got to make sure I get my facts right for when I return it ;o)

Re: Anybody help me set up my TV Tuner

I've just been told all I need to do is to replace my standard RF cable end connector:
    http://i162.photobucket.com/al...trical/RFconnector.jpg

with the new (screwed) type of coax connector
    http://www.w-l-t.org/Pix/Coax%20w-F%20connector.jpg

and every thing will be ok, is that right?

Can anybody reassure me that this will work?

Don't forget I only have an ordinary Ariel on my roof, no satellite dish.
