Im currently upgrading to an X2 setup and i have a power issue
A8N32-SLI DLX, Enermax EG651P-VE Power supply
It only has a 20 pin connector and not a 24 pin
So do i plug the 20 pin in as well as the "extra" four pin usually used for AGP cards in the EZ power slot and then connect the PCI-E power to my X1900 card?
Also, with the 20 pin, is there a right and wrong part of the 24 pin socket to install it in and which way is the right way?

the connector "should" only fit one way
just use the 20 pin connector, dont try and force the extra 4 pin plugs into the motherboard as they are slightly different. It should run fin with 20 pin.
there are some cheap (£3ish) adapters from 20pin to 24 pin but they are not always needed as clunk said above. I use one to convert my PSU from 20pin to 24pin but it also works without it, didnt know at the time I ordered :)
My concern is that as there are 24 pins, does it go in the top section or bottom section of the socket or does it not matter?Quote:
