    Is SLi working?

Hi all, I've just set up an Sli config, and as specified in this thread I think it has a problem - namely giving me naff 3d mark scores: akin to using one card.

It was recognised when I added it, and I enabled sli through control panel. But it isn't giving the performance it should.

Please can someone advise me?! system to the left...

    Thanks.

Here is my 06 result for 7800GTX SLI. They were running at 551/1350 I think for that.

    Here is the 03 result.

    Here is the 05 result.

    Thanks Clunk that really helps...

The 06 results are slightly lower than I expected.

But the 03 results are way off imo.

Thanks again - if anyone has any suggestions keep em coming!!! ta

Theres a few things I can think of that may be of use....

    Start with the obvious.

Are both cards seated properly, and I mean properly?

Are both cards plugged into their own pci-e connector?

Do both cards work ok in each of the slots singly, and do they both give the same 3dmark score in the opposite slots/singly etc.

Is the SLI bridge on properly? Try turning it round?

Have you tried completely removing all the drivers with driver cleaner and starting again?

You sure SLI is enabled in the nvidia panel?

Im not familiar with your motherboard, but does it require jumpers to be set for SLI mode, or maybe in the bios? (my 939 DFI boards did).

Is your PSU up to the job?

    Will try

Think so - I'll have another look

Have you tried completely removing all the drivers with driver cleaner and starting again?
no, not yet, hope I don't have to!

You sure SLI is enabled in the nvidia panel?
    yup

Looked through the bios - found nowt - apparently it's a soft switch

Is your PSU up to the job?
    580w Tagan - I think so

Thanks Clunk - If it continues I'll try seperating them and running 3d mark alone...
