Question No auto insert with usb card readers

Can anyone shed some light on this one

USB card reader (we have two different ones) either plugged into a usb hub or directly into the pc, when we put a cf card in the reader, on the old pc, it would scan the card and then ask what to do, but on this new pc it does nothing, u have to go into explorer and browse the card and then do whatever u want to the images.

Is there a way to get this working? i have tried setting it back to its defaults, but it still does not work.

So you have right clicked the drive(s) in question and gone to properties then autoplay...? The bottom radio button should be selected on this sub page if you want it to ask every time...
