    shuttle wont send video signal

tonight i built a sn27p2 the specs are amd x2 5200+, 120gb non sata hard drive with windows xp installed (pretty old), 1gb corsair corsair xms2 ddr2 800, and a sapphire x1900gt. i think the problem is the graphics card, i accidentally ordered two of them and tried both and i get a no signal from my monitor when i turn it on. anyone know whats wrong?

If I understand you correctly, you are trying to use a hard drive with XP already installed on it? That's normally a non-starter unless the drive has come from a system with identical specifications. You'll likely need to do a fresh install.

Even so he should still get a signal to the monitor.

Have you tried the 2 graphics cards in another machine to make sure they are working, seems a little odd that you would recieve 2 dead cards.

I'm not really up on the SMF side of things to be honest. It's a possibility that the card may not be compatible, but unlikely.

Do you not have a access to any other cards or computers? Maybe a friends.

It could be a power problem. x1900gt isn't that much power hungry compared with x1900xt or x1800xt, but I believe you still need a good PSU to juice it properly. Is your shuttle PSU upto the job?
