When you say get it back - Wheres it gone?
One way is to go to Run, type Services.msc and ok. Then find Wireless Zero Service and enable it
Dave
it got removed...somehow when someone fitted a router for our family.
What make was the router?
Have you tried disabling the utility installed when that was installed (I'm guessing installed alongside a Wireless Adapter)?
i dont know what make it is...it doesnt actually say on the router...
and also i dont remember anything being installed...it was kind of set up over the interweb
Do you have a wireless card in the pc you want to use wireless zero config (wzc) on?
If so then looking in device manager to find out what it is will give you a clue to any software that may be over riding wzc... e.g. ASUS WL-XXX in network adapters should prompt you to look for some asus software...
As stated above go to START -> RUN -> "services.msc" and scroll to the bottom of the list in the right hand pane. Look for wireless zero configuration. Make sure it is started and on automatic...

no thats not working
dont worry about it, thanks anyway
Sometimes when you try and use the WZC utility it'll say something like "Another application is controlling your wireless connection" - in which case it should be showing up in the taskbar - I had a dell utility doing it on my sisters laptop when it arrived.
Anyways, once that is disabled there should be an option somewhere when you double click on the windows wireless network connection icon in the taskbar to 'have windows manage my wireless network connections' or something, sorry I can't give any more detail, but I didn't pay much attention when I was changing it on the Laptop!
Hope that helps a bit

Yeah you would right click the relevant network adapter, choose properties and the wireless stuff is on the second tab I think...
