i have fitted my first ever graphics card "woo!" and it has changed from a PCI (my old card) to a AGP slot (i think, its a blue one ) will i need to change any settings in the BIOS at all?

ure pc should automaticaly detect it
thanks, just someone said i had to change something in BIOS when i got my new card, ill see what happens when i've installed drivers etc.

Only if you had both an AGP and a PCI card. There is an option in the BIOS where you can set which card is used for booting - PCI or AGP.
My experience is if it works fine, it works. If it doesn't, then start worrying about further changes
it works , plays oblivion like a dream still not tested what settings it will play it on though.
What card is it?

so you mean u moved from AGP to PCIe the move from PCI to AGP didnt mach up with ur My System specs on the left, sorry for being pedantic
Blue slot will be PCI Express
The BIOS setting blueball was talking about only applies if you have (or rather, had) two GPUs in the system, one PCI and one AGP.
MY pci-ex is orange .
