Speedfan reports voltages of old PSU.

Hi there,

Over the holidays I replaced my Antec Neopower 480 with an Enermax Galaxy 850. Now Speedfan still reports the voltages as if they were from my old PSU. I've uninstalled everything to do with the program and it still does it? Other programs such as Everest do the same, where as the gigabyte application is up to date.

Any ideas?

Monitoring software is ALWAYS incorrect.
I'll give you an example.
My voltages (see sig for rig):
MBM5 - 12V=11.67V 5V=4.79 3.3V=3.14
DMM - 12V = 12.02 5V=5.01 3.3V=3.34
I rest my case. This has happened on every rig i have ever owned and not once has the true readings been reflected using software.
MBM, SpeedFan, Everest, UGuru......all wrong.

The ONLY way to test voltages for a PSU is to hook up a multi-meter (DMM) and find out.

if your system is not experiencing problems then ignorance is bliss, why go searching for a problem if ur system is stable. If there are problems then I agree that research should be done, but like Blitzen says, rely on proper tools, not so much on the freeby software out there which is interpreting the output of normally poor quality detectors.
