Layout problems with 120DPI

Got a laptop brought in, a Dell Precision M90 (ooooh :))

Theres a problem in displaying some websites and some apps in that the layout of things is wrong example - A setup.exe, the terms and conditions screen, the accept and decline buttons are hidden by the text box,

I found that changing the DPI to 96 rather than 120 fixed the issue but now, certain text and the icons in the task bar are tiny,

Can I just change the size of the desktop text and task bar icons but keep the 96DPI?
