    Can't Skip CHKDSK?

I have 4 hdd's in my box. My main drive is mostly just for windows and stuff, and another is for Linux. The other two are each 120 gb in raid 0. I was having some problems with the raid which I determined to be a failing drive. I am now at the point of wanting to replace it. When I boot with the drive plugged in, windows forces me into CHKDSK and wants to check the drive for errors. It will not allow me to bypass CHKDSK and it always freezes during the scan.

I want to be able to bring my drive up and try to get as much as possible off it before it fails completely (maybe it is too late?) and then i'll just replace it.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can do this?? Thanks!

there is a window of 5 second where you can skip chkdsk at startup although i would recommend it finish in order to give you the most chance of getting your files

Well, CHKDSK will not let me skip. That options comes up (press any key to skip) but when I press keys, nothing happens. It just counts down as usual. I tried different keyboards and it does the same thing.

Bah. I have given up. There was nothing vital on there anyway. I could not boot to safe mode either. Thanks for the help anyways!

That is what I thought at first because I have a wireless keyboard and USB receiver but I tried another keyboard (PS/2) and that doesn't work either. Thanks anyways though!
