cause you have only made 2 posts, both of which are in this thread and 6 days apart... maybe it loks like spam? Someone signing up just to try and get something for free, generally a good tactic but does seem like a cheap one imo as you could actually try to contribute elsewhere in the mean time.

Don't take offense to that but its just how i see it currently.

Re: Features - Win the graphics card beast that is the ASUS ROG ARES!

Yes i have two posts in the forum but I think competitions are sometimes also are done to give new people also a chance if i'm not mistaken ?

And talking about " 2 posts " , I am actually a Senior & respected member in several forums. In some forums , i have over 3000+ posts.Do you want me to send the links ?

I have 2 posts here. That Does not mean i spam. Please don't judge anyone by his post counts.I have over 50k posts combined in all the places i belong to.

I am a newsletter subscriber of Hexus from at least 5 years & i am a regular viewer of Hexus from that 5 years.I like to read mostly rather than posting.

This is i don't like about some forums. All the senior members consider newly joined members are spammers just because they joined a few days ago & did not have much posts.

Thanks for considering me as a spammer but I'm a respected & senior member in most Top & reputed forums ( where some of my posts are also stickied ) & i never judge anybody as a spammer just by his post counts.

And everyone enters into a competition to win something for free.I never heard anyone paying to enter a competition. So, what's the big deal in that ? Just because i have now joined Hexus & don't have much posts like you , you can not consider me a spammer.Everyone was a noob when they started.

P.S.- Just try my username in Google & see how many places i'm a part of.I just joined here ( though i'm reading Hexus from 5 years ) & I don't have any post count does NOT make me look i'm a spammer.Everyone enters competitions to win somehing for free. What's the big issue about that Please ? Competitions are being made to attract new people in the sites/communities.

P.P.S.- I am a respected & senior member in 3 other Major UK forums also for your info. ( eTeknix.com , Vortes.co.uk , XSreviews.co.uk ) but they never considered me as spammer even though i joined them earlier to take part in some competitions ).

Please don't be a hater.Best of luck if you entered.

Thanks for the worst welcome to a new member.

Thank You.

EDIT :- And I have already a pretty good job at Cisco Systems. So, I don't need to spam to win something for free.I take part in competitions just for fun not to win something everytime.

Re: Features - Win the graphics card beast that is the ASUS ROG ARES!

Sorry maybe I should have made a more in depth post.

I posted in response to your question as to why you may have been reported, as some may see it as spam etc etc. There is no need to be all high and mighty about being a member of many forums (albeit a good defense to criticism), I don't generally class people as spammers unless they double/triple post often after joining and of course the silly spam bots!.

Yes everyone enters competitions to win something, not saying that's wrong at all. I can see how you took my post as being hostile as i've just read it again and it seems aimed at you where as I'm talking in general I.E on most forums you see people signing up often just because there's a free deal(like hexus/av forums free scan delivery) and free competitions, annoying to see so much spam caused by it.

I respect you've been reading hexus for ages and perhaps aren't a huge poster, i've been reading Hexus review articles for years as well (i joined after a few years of reading!).

I dont think it was the worst welcome because I didn't really do anything wrong!. However a worthy reply and great punctuation (mines lacking sadly) means to me you put the effort in!.

So welcome to hexus.net! I hope you aren't met with hostile replies and criticism in the future, enjoy being part of the community. Might want to post in the welcome section as well .

(btw none of this post is sarcastic and I am genuinely welcoming you and apologize if you thought my post was hostile to you!)

edit: i've just realized how much this post shows my love for exclamation marks haha

You do not need to apologize mate.I'm a bit frustrated not from your post but the earlier poster who reported my post thinking i am spammer. Also the worst welcome was related to that poster , not you.

I hate having negative feedbacks or rep points as we say without doing any wrong things.

I think i need to stay cautious while posting here so they don't get picked up wrongly.

Thanks for the welcome.

Actually the "reported" post was deleted, as it was spam, after which it looks like your post was reported, when in fact it was not.

Thank You Sir for clarifying that.I was wondering about my post too that even if i don't have a huge post count here , still i did not think i posted any spam in that post, as i never do that.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Yes...*shhhhnip*...everyone
Over The Top and Off The Topic. And speaking of OTT, if you're going to be self-righteous, make it short and concise. Nobody needs a reiterative 1500 word dissertation on how many posts they have elsewhere and the cushy Cisco Systems job? Unnecessary. I just hope it's not customer services
...but I think competitions are sometimes also are done to give new people also a chance...
[/FLAME]

Back on topic: I look forward to seeing who wins.

@ decky1990 :- I was not talking to you.So, you can ignore my 1500 word essay or whatever.I like to write. If you don't have the time to read you just ignore that or don't read at all.Nobody ain't forcing you to read.I don't actually care who reads my posts or not.I write/post because i love to.

No it's not a Customer Service job.I'm one of the Network Administrators there after doing my CCNA , CCNP & CCIE.

Thanks.

Crossfiring an Ares ? I think we need a 1.5k PSU for that.

P.S. - You know it already has 2 GPUs I think ? Who needs Four 5870s at the same time btw ? That would be too overkill I think.

No such thing as overkill. Competition for a 1.5K PSU here we come too

I can't afford £1,200 worth of graphics card because that's like R13 200 South African Rands, Here's an example: I get R50 each and every month as pocket money. It's going to take me 264 Months/22 Years to save for this Card.

By the time the competition is drawn the card will only cost £600 so it'll only take you 11 years to save up chap, so dont worry
