    Entered, but I hope it comes with a warning not to use it late at night... could mess up your sleep patterns something horrid - particularly given most gamer's tendency to try to pull all-nighters. Or is that the whole point?

    Still quite like my old Philips monitor, power board did go after a couple of years but they were pretty good on the phone and sorted out a replacement without the slightest complaint. Over 4 years old now, when it finally croaks I shall be swiping the lovely vesa mount stand off it.

    I have an old Philips Ambilight setup displaying pastel shades round the back & sides of my monitor. Does it reduce eyestrain? TBH I have no idea - it provides a fairly pleasing aesthetic glow but I've no scientific way of proving it helps one way or the other...
