Could certainly use one of these, have had to revert to an old Thomson TG585 because the ZyXEL routers KC are now handing out are junk. Not that the Thomson is much better, but it atleast holds a stable connection.
Were looking at splashing on a new router early next year, but a well timed win would be pretty lucky.
Killer cool giveaway Hexus
I was hesitant about Asus when they first entered the premium router space, but I've gotta admit, they've totally nailed it. :iloveyou:
I don't know about the 3200, but I can definitely recommend the 87U. I upgraded from some free Cisco Meraki AP, and though the software doesn't bring near as much control, I'm having a steady 360Mb/s wireless, ~8 meters into another room, and +400Mb/s on wire. Softwarewise, it is no prodigy, but it does it job in the hardware.
P.S. Is there any way to get resent the confirmation email when creating a user? Registered a user years ago, though I never got to activate it. Would rather use it than this.
Routers used to almost universally be MIPS based, wonder how many are ARM these days.
Well done ARM, but does make me a bit sad for MIPS.
Great compo :D
These things look space age, would be a great upgrade from the one our ISP provides for you.
Edited by Tarinder - no need to use expletives, thank you.
\o/ it's that time again, but this time I'm up and age bracket and down a job (self-imposed, time to turn self employed but still, no money coming in until I retrain and start earning... :o ). Hopefully it's my year this year! Thanks Hexus :)
Entered. Thanks for the great comp!
thanks for the competition but I thought you were looking into stopping the redirect to your facebook page?
I have an oldish (4 yr) ASUS router, excellent quality although stand is a bit wobbly. Would really like to upgrade for free!
Excellent prizes. Many thanks Hexus.
Shame about the facebook redirect again though.:yucky:
Entered, thanks. :hexlub:
