Sound BlasterX AE-5 Plus, Sound Blaster G3 and SXFI Gamer headset!
Nice, been after a decent 384kHz DAC system for a while, will mean I can finally play my DSD music :)
Don't think I've had a sound card since athlon days, maybe earlier
Eligibility: UK and Europe only :(
Sound card-is it really worth it now,is the difference really big?
Very nice. many thanks to hexus and Creative.
I couldn\'t be without a soundcard. My Gigabyte Aorus pro Z390 is supposed to have a decent sound chip but the sound always seemed to be flat or missing something no matter what settings I played around with. Installed my Soundblaster Z and the difference is like day and night. It was the same with the Asus Maximus Hero VI I had before this current board as well.
Very nice, although is it just me or can those 3 not be used together
Sound BlasterX AE-5 Plus sound card, outputs via 3.5mm jack or spdif
Sound Blaster G3 external USB-C DAC, it\'s not just a DAC but a full sound card connecting via usb C, outputting via 3.5mm jack
Creative SXFI Gamer headset, connecting via usb-C, again has a built in sound card
I have been on onboard sound since i retired my Sound blaster AWE 32 Gold ( 28 MB )
So for the knowing people, that mean for a pretty damn long time.
I havent used an internal sound card since PCI days. Ive been using optical out off the mainboard and process sound in an external AMP/DAC for years. I just dont see the point of internal cards. All you introduce is possibility of interference issues and using up a precious expansion slot when these days you are lucky to have more than one free after a mega fat GPU goes in.
