I swear these bots cheat
I put a load on fy_iceworld_real. Even on expert they stood shooting at the wall trying to hit a player on the other side, as if they had a wall hack.
On the more traditional CS maps they are ok.
HEXUS|iMc
cool, save having to reload to change it.

the bots are just as bad as I imagined
They are STILL waypoint based, even in todays day and age of AI pathfinding technology....amazing. This means that they will currently only work with the official maps or unofficial ones with waypoints. Really really lazy bot coding here, even the old realbot for cs 1.0 had better pathfinding abilities than these CSS ones
they are also far too easy to kill, even on level3 (expert mode) with just me against 4 bots on dust I finished the map with a score of 38-2
and i'm not even that good....
i to am disapointed with them
i went without a kill with me aganst 5 bots for a very long time (to get me on 5 i teamkilled the four on my team)
waaaay too easy, even on hard
Under Development...

Before the release of HL2 i can understand the problems with steam and stuff. I mean they wernt getting any money from it and it was still in beta / testing. however when HL2 was released over it and people paid good money for it you think they would of seen the scale of people using it and would of put more money into servers and such - or atleast plan release of updates in advance and 'leak' them to people so it doesnt put such a load on their servers?
Throw them on BiTTorrent and you wouldnt have this prob. i mean so what im not able to paly my game for how long? i dont buy games so i cant play them

Why do you think they hired the guy who invented bit-torrent?Originally Posted by neonplanet40

Bit-torrent..*spit* another downloading method that sucks. Works ok over adsl etc but the second you put it on a networked connection and splat it goes poo. Plus i resent the idea of having to download a separate client to download something (legit, lots of linux distros are now BT only)
steam itself is a steaming pile of s***and I have said so ever since it was even concieved. Like communism its a brilliant idea, but can never be implemented properly.
There was NOTHING wrong with the way valve distributed games and patches previously, so they broke a golden rule. If it aint broke dont fix it..
Steam also does nothing to prevent pirates. If I was still into that kind of stuff steam is simple to circumvent..but can't discuss that here nor would I want to
neon the only way to get a diff content server is to keep restarting steam until it decides to change. Or you can use an SPI firewall to find the IP of that content server and block it, then steam will assume that it is down and try a different one. Not guaranteed to work but its worth a try ;/
ty it jsut decided to update. msut have changed server
