Sounds lovely, they dont seem to give a strength rating though, how would you place them?

They're as strong as you make them. I don't agree with a coffee roaster saying how strong the product is because it'll vary depending on the amount of coffee used, brew method, water temperature and so on.
With the Cuisine Art you can vary the strength using the button and the amount of water. Put the button to strong and put less water in than you have the dial set for (so put 7 cups in but set the dial to 8 for example) and you'll get a stronger brew.
Okies, il order each and give them a try!
Good price! Welcome to the affluent middle classes :D
As I said previously, we're stuck on Lavazza Qualita Rossa, usually by the 1kg bag from sainsburys. Lovely everyday coffee, and bought in bulk it's very reasonably priced. Could use that as a fallback "stock cupboard" coffee for when you run out of fancy brands to drink :D
Got a delivery today (couple of the bags are to give to my dad)

Just need the damn machine to arrive now!
Machine has arrived today and i had my first brew... delicious!
Need to hold myself back from drinking anymore tonight or i wont sleep!
Am i doing something wrong or is it next to impossible to get all the coffee out of the jug by pouring it?
I had '4 cups' made for me this morning (well a tiny bit less as i put just less water than that in) and there is only just over an actual mugs worth accessible.
definitely makes it easier to get out of bed though!
I usually make 8 cups worth which equates to 3 mugs. Just the right amount for a morning I find.
A question for those that have one of the Cuisinart brewers - do you wash the caraffe by hand or in the dishwasher? Mine goes in the dishwasher but I've had to get it replaced because water has been getting in between the inner and outer metal skin (getting in through the join with the plastic top I think). The new one arrived Friday and after only one cycle in the dishwaser it has already started filling up with water again.
The packaging says it is dishwasher safe so we're going to get it replaced and hopefully be 3rd time lucky.
Bweghrrghh 3 mugs would be way too much for a morning for me. I would lose my vision before i even set off for work!
I don't have a dishwasher so hopefully i will be ok!
I work from home so don't neck 3 mugs of coffee before 8am. Well, not usually :)
We don't have a dishwasher, but even if we did I think I'd always do the carafe by hand, tbh. Then again, we don't "wash" it that often either - it gets rinsed between brews, and gets a proper wash every week or so. Given the whole point of it is to have near-boiling water tipped into it on a regular basis, it really shouldn't need the harsh but sterilising effect of a dishwasher...
