wonder what the quality of the download games is goin to be like, old ps1 games maybe
did they break compatability with ps2 (and therefore ps1) games so people, rather than using there little collection of classics have to re-buy them as DLC?

That's not too bad.
If the retail is listed at £40, then they should be available cheaper.
Xbox360 games listed at £50 are usually available for under £40. And PC games listed at £40 usually come in under £30.
That should make the cost of the console slightly less extortionate. If you are getting the PS3 games at £30, then there is a £10 advantage over the Xbox360 games. So if you are planning to buy about 20 games, then the PS3 will end up costing about the same as the Xbox.

It would appear £39.99 means £39.99 and not 30 quid, I've had a quick look on most of the retailers I can think of and all the games were £39.99.
Pretty good price point, can't be making that much profit on them as Blu-Ray disks aren't that cheap to produce.

Im surprised at the price, it will be interesting if they will keep it at that price or if it is just a launch thing
in the USA PS3 games and 360 games seem to retail at the same price point (I mean rrp)
