Thank goodness our children shall be safe once again.
You know what video games do influence us in the real world. I planted a car into a lampost once for trying to take the same line I would in Gran Turismo. Should the game be banned? No, I shouldn't have been such a wally in my nissan sunny thinking it was a skyline :)
I thought he'd been disbarred (or what ever the term is)?
btw. Link in article takes you to main message board instead of this thread.
did anyone actually play the first one?
More will now.
Games are useful for teaching you self defence. After being attacked from behind on a night out, I took my home-made battle rifle which I'd hidden down my trousers and proceeded to melee attack the youth. I could have shot him, but remembered from playing Halo 2, that the melee attack is just as effective in close quarter combat. Afterwards, I tea-bagged him good and proper.
They can also be a hinderance to self defence though. After spending the day playing on a wii, the fight I got into that night was rather short with my chosen defence being me waving a tv remote about trying to perform an uppercut.
why on earth is an almost disbarred US lawyer meddling in the UK?
He just doesn't give up. Does anyone really care what Jack thinks?
Ah Jack Jack Jack. Learn that sometimes a hands off approach is wise. This is one of those cases. Sod off to the other side of the pond.
Oh, I thought it was a marketing ploy to increase sales :p
Thats what these activists don't get, they create massive amounts of hype for the product they are against.
Take Bully for instance (canis canem edit). They didn't even bother finding out what the game was really about they saw the name, gave their knickers another twist and made sure it hit the headlines, you can't buy that kind of publicity.
i thaught as much, meh, if the games crap then this is a non-issue
