    Remember Delta fans?

Some of you will; back when overclocking meant pencil tricks, exploding bridges, external L2 cache, golden fingers and so on... It was the days when air cooling reigned supreme for all but the extreme enthusiast, and the louder the fan the better.

And this thing sounds just like the good old days:

Luckily, it's meant to live in a cabinet... but what is it?
    PHP Code:

if CSI was real, we could enhance the slik screening on the two PCBs and get the make and model number off them

Heh, I still have a big old Delta focussed flow jobbie in the parts bin, just to remind me what a hoover they were. The 2U server I filched from work has 4 delta's in. Unplugged 3 & it's still too noisy really. But then, they're supposed to be in a AC Server room, not under my desk

This thing actually drove me out of the room in which it's housed. It might not surprise you to know that when testing something like this, we don't store it in a rackmount in the datacenter... it's hard to take them apart in there.

It's a 1U something or other, but forget that delta fans are ace. I still have a couple of 120mm ones for stupid overclocking or when HSF's die.

Actually, they're bespoke to the manufacturer, in this case.
