Did you know that the PS3 power supply packs 380 Watts? Sourcewire claim it will significantly increase our electricity bills

Of course it using more power than the PS2, it has more to power FFS.

I think it's something like 153-163 Watts for 360.

Which still palls into insignificance compared to using a large plasma screen to watch it all on.. They aren't specifically making that point, but that's all I see from it :p

165W according to the article, 380W for the PS3. Still, it's more than twice as good, right? :) Twice the power consumption, twice the price = twice as good :)

Yes that is daft - interesting all the same that it requires a lot more juice than it's competitors..

Is anyone actually saying this is the typical usage? Or is it just that the power supply is rated at 350W?
(articles I see also seem to rate the XBox360 PSU as having a 203W sustained rating).
