Headline :: Xbox 360 live support team aiding hackers?

Hackers will always find a way, but Microsoft are not going to be happy if they discover that their own staff are involved...

    Check out the Headline

Thats actually pretty serious... I mean your Live account has your credit card details linked into it for purchases. I've always thought they should make you set a pin to confirm purchases on your card, or confirm expiry date or something... pressing "purchase" is just far too easy.

    Agreed Tom,

I phoned up Microsoft last year and asked them why they didnt ask for the CVV number or a pin to confirm the purchases and was advised that as the information was on the HDD the card holder must of agreed for the transactions.

It is worrying though as you cant even remove any credit cards that are on the account, I asked Microsoft to do this middle of last year and was advised that the system wouldnt allow for a card to be removed??

Think I might call them tonight and request that with the recent hacking stories I dont want my card details there and see if they will remove them now

This is why I've never signed up for the Live service with a credit/debit card.

Pre-pay all the way for me as I'll pay cash for the card - insert the code and then that way my details are not at a greater risk than normal.

I've gave them my brother's credit card details to pay for a year's subscription in the past. They never questioned it. I didn't have a card at the time.

I've always said to myself that the same people who hack games, software etc.. are the same people that made the program in the first place! Hench why its soo easy for them to hack it
