It seems more and more PS3 games are finding there way onto 360, like blackmage says I have no need for PS3 as all the decent games which id get for PS3 are all coming on 360 anyways (Resident Evil 5, Assassins Creed etc.)

    Great news for 360.

The news of Devil May Cry 4 on the Xbox 360 had been coming for a while, it was just a matter of time until it was confirmed.

The fact of the matter is that Sony simply aren't the only major console maker out there now. In the past, they had so much of the market share that it made sense for developers to just focus on the Playstation, that was undoubtedly where the money was at.

Now however the same can't be said. Though the Playstation 3 may go on to eventually outsell the Xbox 360, the 360 has already made a big dent on the market and with so many millions already sold, developers naturally want in on that market.

In the long run, I think the same will apply vice versa too. We'll now see Capcom's Devil May Cry on 360 but it wouldn't be a huge surprise if at some point we saw Capcom's Dead Rising and Lost Planet on PS3.

Once these third party games all lose their exclusivity (I believe the likes of Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid will do the same) the only exclusives remaining will be the first party titles from Sony and Microsoft themselves.

I hope all titles become non-exclusive. Then the consoles will have to compete on price and performance.

This is brilliant news, used to love Devil May Cry before I switched to an Xbox supporter.

That would be a disaster imo. We would end up with a host of games created for the lowest common denominator . Think of EA's games to get an idea of what i mean.

One version of a game made (for the platform with the largest user base) and then a series of piss poor conversions for the other systems (GTA as an example of this)

Consoles are not competing on games or performance (which doesn't necessarily make for great games anyway) but rather on price and image. The mass market sales are generated by marketing of games/hardware and price. The average consumer has no idea and/or doesn't care about the quality of what they are buying, not in the same way as your more discerning geek anyway

    Excellent.

Another PS3 exclusive bites the dust.

Not many reasons left to fork out on a ps3
